I agree skishing can be looked at as either a boat fish, a shore fish or a class unto itself...that's up to the tournament committees to figure out...there are good arguements either way.
Truth is there are so very few people doing it that the arguement is a lot more theoretical than actual and for that reason I for one don;t participate in thos debates.
I will say that anyone that gets interested in this extreme version of fishing should take a long time researching, talking to and then trying with only those that are very experienced. Without proper techniques, equipment etc, a prety safe method can get very dangerous very quickly.
The good thing is no waders to tear and fill whn blasted off a rock...it is much harder to fall and get banged up on the rocks, you can get to rocks and bars others can not, no Kayak to fall off of etc etc. Obviously being a strong swimmer is a prerequisite.
