It didn't dawn on me until after someone said something to me after the phone call. BUT I ordered new plates to replace the plates on my wife's car, because the rear one is virtually unreadable. The cost was ten dollars a plate or ten dollars per transaction. One plate, one transaction. Now comes thr ub. The plates belong to the registry, they are a leased item. If I can't read them why should I foot the bill for replacing them? I'm only making it easier for someone else to read the plates. They should pay me for the trouble of making it right.
