Linux is a "niche" OS?Huh?Linux(Unix) is older than you are!

Full time as a .Net programmer for a law firm and all that from desktop to apps., better send your resume straight to Bill's office CUZ you're hired.Windows Vista 2.0 by you!NOT!

Just because you make a living off of Windows, don't insult the rest of us who choose to steer clear of that sh!t.

Open source=free.
What you do=$$$
Simple.
Get it?
Probably not.

Thankyou.

and it seems you have bought into the idea that if Linux ever DID take any sort of relevant share of the home market, that it would remain free. Its free now because its a hobbyists toy. Sure the OS might remain free, but developers have itchy fingers and everyone wants to make a buck.

or is the world going to join hands together in unity and sing campfire songs and suddenly forget materialism?

Everything comes with a cost be it time or $$.

Work on passing OSX for market share - till then, its a niche market... I dont care how old it is. 2%.. woo!
