I was there in Sept on my honeymoon 25 years ago and the shelf of the beach was crawling with bonefish. I think you could get them blind casting with a small phillips jig (bounce along the bottom with pauses) or fly rod. They were feeding right in the backwash as it spilled over the shelf. There is a flat out by the golf course that supposedly can be sight fished at low tide. I tried it but got the tide wrong. Long ride on a moped with a fishing rod. Saw a 1/2 day offshore charter unload 2 BIG yellowfins, a wahoo of about 70lbs, and a blue marlin of about 300 lbs. They traveled all of about 12 miles to get them. Swore that if I ever go back I'm taking a charter.
