Just got back 2 weeks ago and the fishing wasn't anything great, biggest catch from shore was a 9 pound jack.

Last time I was there was 15 years ago and after seeing how commercial the island went I wouldn't go back if someone paid me to go.

The island used to be extremely clean but now it looks like New York with the garbage on the streets and the 5 million cars going nowhere at 90 mph. Although St. Georges is still decent like it used to be but some of my friends there said that it won't be for long because they've moved all but 2 of the cruise ship lines that visit and most of the stores are having to close up because of lack of tourists, just another way for big business to grab up all the property by choking out the little guys so they can put up more high rises there to match Hamilton.

The beaches aren't pink sand anymore, taxi rides to anywhere (1 way) is $50.00 per head, the so-called big park in Hamilton is smaller than a city block now, and so many big buildings now that the islanders say the new national bird is the "crane" because everywhere you look that's all you see.

I'll stay with the Mexico side for vacations now and for fishing. I was very disappointed with the new Bermuda and won't go back.

Insanity is a long and winding road ... I think I finally made it there.
