most pads have a strip on back of pads to stop squeeks,also calipers shift and rust and can cause squeeks,no way pads should be worn out at 20 k.check you warantee book call the 800 number and see if they can do anything for you.dealership basically blew you off,they could have gotten pads from another dealer or parts store.mfg will often make goodwill adjustments.
