RE:10ƌ custom breakaway surf rod
Thanks for the vote of confidence Striperman. There are alot of knowledgeable guys and gals that come through here and post good info, many more knowledgable than I am. A few incredibly knowledgeable people like Bill "#^^^^^^&" Nolan, Fisherwoman and Baitcaster (Bill and Jul's), I have fished with and learned alot from, especially having fished three years now with #^^^^^^&. Other people that I have not fished with yet (and hopefully soon will) but have known for a while now, online or in person, are people like Mike form CCtackle, Mike P, Saltheart, John M, Mike F, Roland and "Squidmama" (best name I think I've ever heard <img src="/Images/Tounge_Wink_Face.gif"><!--e5-->), and others just to name a few. These are the Sharpies. Some specialize in different areas as you have your distance casters and your Canal jiggers to your light tackle people to you name it. I joke when I say that Nolan is master of all things surf but he consistantly gets more fish, bigger fish, more consistantly than anyone I have ever seen with my own eyes.
Alot of you we are meeting online for the first time and I would like the opportunity to fish with you as well... Hopefully, near summers end, we will try to plan out a trip to some exotic striper spot and meet up with a few of you. Trying now to figure out a where and when...
I am a relative rookie in comparison to alot the people that come to these boards but I intend to be very good in the future. I'd rate myself as OK at this point but alot of these people above have some serious time plying the surf... I am trying to provide this little corner of the web available to all interested in the art of striped bass so we all can learn. I'll gladly pass along what I know (which five years ago could be written in grease pencil on the inside of a matchbook cover) to help people but I still give my kudos to the hundreds of years of combined experience to those people above.
