Alright, if you have a compressor you can do a good job with a spray gun in your yard if you just take your time.I did 2 projects in the last 2 years with an old 2hp/20 gallon compressor and relatively cheap gun.
Check out my 23 Seacraft onwww.classicseacraft.com "Bill Sirotnak's" - I sprayed that with Petit Easypoxy, a relatively cheap 1 part marine paint but it should be perfect for your boat, and not as dangerous as a 2 part (you still need a respirator of course).
I'll try to put up this link to my son's Jetta I did with PPG Omni auto paint, which I think would work well for a boat also.That is a 2 step color/clear system, but again much cheaper than Imron or Awlgrip.
I think either would work for you.
