Where's the Bass?

Bill & Jul's did you get in any scouting this weekend? Anything worthwhile to report? I've been working in the yard for 2 weeks and I feel like every muscle in my body is ready for therapy. I'll be heading down to my usual spring haunt tomorrow, largemouth, pickeral, crappie, sea run browns and yes there should be some herring running to hopefully lure in some big largemouth where the herring come in. Back in the late eighties, I nailed a 9.2, 6.5, 5.5 and 4.4 in about 20 minutes with a blue/black jig-pig all within about 40 feet of the herring run.

I'd would however prefer the striped variety, but with the late start I'm thinking 2nd week of may out of Scituate...my usual launch site. Maybe a cape trip with the Juls-Bil team, when is that mistery trip and is anyone welcome? Today sure felt like spring and if this weather continues, it won't be long till things start jumping.

What about you John, you hitting anything down your way or just small holdovers still. I'd say let's launch the boat, but I'm still having shift problems and the back up Suzuki dealer is changing out the cables on the 25th. The dealer I bought it from couldn't solve the simple problem after 2 attempts and each time I came out with more problems then I went in with. I'm amazed that Wareham Lund dealership is still in business, especially with the incompetent boobs he has working for him.

Anyway, maybe by the time I'm good to go, we can check out the action down your way. I'm soooooooo ready to start striper fishing.
