I have used Segaur Fluorocarbon in the past from 30-80lb test and I have also used Jinkai leader material from 40-80lb test. I now longer use the Segaur, however I do use the Jinkai in the Spring, it is great leader material for the price. Take into consideration I do use it in the spring in stained water or very poor visibility, therefore I really don't find a need for Fluorocarbon in those conditions.
Fishing clear water such as in Rhody and the Cape in mild weather and bright nights I would highly recomend Fluorocarbon. Take it for what its worth, but I have found that it does make a difference in certain conditions. I would recommend you try the Orvis Mirage Fluorocarbon. It is what I use and like most. At $15.95 for a 30meter spool it is MUCH cheaper than Seguar and other brands of Fluorocarbon, (By about 40%+). For 2003 they had made Orvis Mirage 20% Stronger so I am even more anxious to try this years and compare. It really is great stuff.....
