I disagree Flap. I worked at Guitar Center, Sunset Boulevard in Hollywood CA. Guitar Center is the Home Depot of musical instruments. It serves it purpose.
I own 9 guitars, well over 20K in value and I never have bought new. It makes no sense. For what Goose is looking for, thousands buy guitars, they then sit in a case for 5 years because no one plays them and then they sell them. Guitars, if cared for, get better with age. The more they are played, the better then play! Buy used, its the best value.
BTW - you need to tune a guitar everytime you play it. It takes 2 minutes, a good tuner helps, but after awhile you
ll be able to tune one string and then tume the other strings to that note.
