Nothing risked, nothing gained. Arra's may trade toughness for lightness and response, but they sure are fun to fish. The enjoyment they add to fishing, trip after trip, is not insignificant and well worth the occassional failure in my mind.

Risk assessment being part of my job leads me to stay away from something that though it may be light and responsive does not make good fiscal sense in the investment factor when it cannot provide total peace of mind which is why I fish and need equipment I can trust to work other than the car door or the misplaced foot incidents.
That sharp report in the night and occasional blue flash when they go may be exciting but I assure you if it happens to you, and there is the outside chance it may not, but as opposed to other brands of blanks, the risk is higher and documentable as such, you will not really enjoy the lightness and response factor as you once did.
