Mine lasted 3 years of heavy use before it blew up. I took care of it but I do that will all my gear.

The SSU is very nice a bit more whippy than the arra. It does handle the heavier lures but it doesn't feel like the arra. That said if feels really light! Very comfortable to fish with.


I tell you what I like in that 10' ready-made class, is the St Croix 10' one piece Avid surf series. I bought it when my arra broke and I like it. Great back up to your customs and is the rod I take when I am going to get beat up.
