Very nice Russ!! I think you are on to something.
The wheel mount bolts are they steel or aluminum? I ask cause I saw a guy who had aluminum bolts and they would heat up, expand and cause the wheels to suddenly stop. If done while rod was still was spinning the rod would "blow up". Nasty nasty.
By seeing what youve built I think you should have no problem adapting the thread carriage.
