Learn the facts first before opening mouths.
And BTW the real Nazis are the Bird People from the USFWS not the Seahore people. The Seashore people actually would like to see it all open.

I'm assuming that the "learn the facts before opening mouths" were directed at the posts in response to my inquiry and not my original question. In any case, I fully understand the HOTM closure, and the HH closure North makes sense as I've seen many times over the years that the cuts can be very narrow. In regards to the HH North issues, that section had been open with several stretches closed to birds ("least terns" to be specific--at least that is what a Park Ranger told me)...so I was surprised to see a closure of a normally open section especially after the birds have left and that section of beach normally builds over the summer.
I apologize..but it seems that my question brought out the worst in some people.
