I have the one piece---best 10' light and medium plugging stick I've ever held. It's rated 3/4 to 2-1/2 oz but can handle 3.

It's classified as a "medium fast" taper but still has what I consider to be a parabolic bend to it. Lots of backbone for a light stick. Great with braid as the bend cushions the pressure on the hooks--I tend to rip trebles loose too often on stiffer/faster rods.
