Patrick, go to Wal-Mart, Kmart, or the local hardware and get a tube of the stuff called Sportmans Goop, Household Goop, or SHoe Goo. It is all essentially the same and made by the same company. It smells and behaves the same as Aquaseal without the dive shop price. Get some laquer thinner and clean the area you want to patch and let the thinner dry, it removes oil, armor all and such. Then lay the area you want to patch flat and apply some goop to the area. As it dries overnight it will kind of level itself down and leave a tough rubber skin.
I patched some severely dry rotted Bennys specials a couple of years ago and they still keep me dry.
