I think the winter & late winter might make a difference of a week on when the holdovers move out but other than that, no impact of any significance.

I think we see what impact the winter weather has on the fishery a few years down the road by how it affects the spawning conditions. In conjunction with the spring weather, the run off of the winter goes a long way to the spawn. Think of a year ago that there was so little snow & rain that there was harldy any water where these fish spawn. It had brought a lousy year class if I remember right. Maybe this will help towards a good one...
