This weather will shakem up. Give me a call after this next blow, and before next weekend and we'll go out. Next weekend my brother will be visiting and I think if the weather holds I may take him on the boat over to the area of my 2008 calendar and toss some eels into the shore and see what that yields. If not I'll be on the beach.
DZ, nice to see you visit the "big" island. I hope to cross paths with you again later this fall on the little island. That seal is friggin huge. Matt was telling me he will eat any fish EXCEPT an albie...he spits it out, time and time again, even when cut into bite size chunks...he spits it out and lets it sink to the bottom but will take the bass, blue or bone fillet down in one bite...his favorite seems to be the bluefish. That thing has got to be 8' long and 3+' in dia.

It's true . . . I got the thing eating out of my hand. It will take the albie, but not eat it. Everyone on the dock cracks up. Just goes to show you . . . if a seal spits it out you know you shouldn't even attempt to cook those things.
It's amazing how big those things are. I'm gonna stop while I still have all my digits and appendages, otherwise I'll be meeting with Sandman's wife to have her surgically put me back together. I like chatting with Denise, but hope to never see her in the ER.
