I got a 3000yd spool of 65#pp- what they use for spooling reels - for 180 at M&D's in Wareham. If you're a freindly and regular face at your local shop you may be able to strike the same deal.
Mike was out of 1500 yd spools so he made the offer of the 3000. He suggested I try Red top for th 1500 - which I did but their price was too high ($136) so I went back to Mike and got more than i need.
