4-WD Vehicle Beach Regulation

The Council requires, for the operator’s safety and benefit, that every vehicle operated on a barrier beach carry the following equipment (in good working order):
Shovel (heavy-duty or military entrenching tool).
Tow rope of chain (15 feet, load strength of 1,800 lbs., chain size-5/16" ).
Jack and support stand (minimum 18" x 18" x 5/8", plywood).
Street legal tires (4-ply tread, 2-ply sidewalls) – mud or snow tires not recommended).
Spare tire
Low-pressure tire gauge (0-20 lbs.).
First aid kit (approved by Coast Guard).
Fire extinguisher (approved by the Coast Guard or Interstate Commerce Commission).
