I use a rotisserie, and for a cheap and low-tech solution I just used the four-pronged rotisserie fork that it came with. Cut a square of corrugated cardboard bigger than the square of the prongs, and punch it onto the fork. Use a razor knife to cut an "X" in the carboard slighly larger than the butt diameter of the rod. Push the rod butt through the X. The friction of the carboard will hold the butt. Make sure the X is in the middle of the prong spacing. Voila, swamp yankee rod dryer
