Very possible! (& probable) that the temp. dropped that quick up there!
1) I have seen a single late- Fall storm drop water temps in the Ocean surf by 5- 6 degrees within 48 hours! (killed a few seasons down here that way... shaping up to look like this one included?
)
2) Water temps down here & even as far south as Jersey have fallen as low as 46 in the backbays... 50 in the ocean surf (was 56- 58 a week ago)
I can well then believe these temps accurate for up there in B.B.!
Anyone seen any Gannets on Herring this week-- anywhere?
