I got to see Little Feat at The Orpheum in Beantown when Lowell George was still alive - of all the bands I've seen live it was probably the most impressive performance - both as a group and individually as musicians. Man, they were tight as a crab's ass, too - even then it was obvious they didn't start playing together yesterday.

Speaking of yesterday, I wanna say that's about the time of the Dixie Chicken release, maybe earlier.

Richie Hayward - the drummer - was unbelievable, he brutalized the drumset and Lowell George was incredible - what a sad loss to suicide.
