I am, well, Steve....

Born in Boston, lived there two weeks, and then was raised in Northern Jersey. Moved to Mass after I got out of college (NJIT in Newark, NJ, Chemical Engineering) back in 1984.

Lived in Quincy for about 6 years, then moved to Foxboro where I bought my current house.

Have been on this site from nearly the beginning, and frequent two others as well. No children, but I do have a dog Sultry, part husky, part shepard, and rumor has it part wolf. And of course there is Donna, my beautiful "wife" of twenty years now.

Am currently um-employed, but I was a production manager and plant engineer for an environmental catalyst manufacturer for the past 17 years. I was laid off last February, and had the luxury of being able to take a lot of time off (and FISH...). Am currently looking for new employment.

I have fished since I was about 5 years old, started out with my grandfather (he is 87 and still fishes) and uncle catching flounder, blowfish, weakfish and eels on the Navesink River near Sandy Hook NJ. When I first moved to Mass, I spent a lot of time flounder and blue fishing at Powder Point in Duxbury. Caught the striper bug back around 1992 (with the help of our own Mr.Kav.....), and have been doing it ever since.

I fish lots of areas in Southeast Mass and more recently (past 2-3 years) in Rhode Island as well, and am VERY SLOWLY learning the canal mysteries. I also make two or three trips a year to fish New Jersey in the early Spring and late Fall, as well as a two week vacation down to Hatteras in mid to late June.

I am mostly a surf caster, but never turn down the opportunity to get on somebody's boat, as well. Am a chunker by nature, but have been expanding my horizons and throwing more and more wood, plastic, jigs, and eels over the past two years.

My biggest bass to date came in November of 1996 in Seaside Park, New Jersey at 48" and 36 lbs on a frezzer burnt bunker chunk at 7:00 AM, after fishing the spot for about 15 minutes. My biggest New England bass was 40" and 27 lbs, off of MrKav's boat somewhere in Boston Harbor.

I also enjoy and do all the cooking, and am pretty good at it. I have a large vegetable garden for which I start all of my (okay most of my) plants from seed, and am also learning more and more about flower gardening. And am a novice all around handyman/home repair/automotive repair guy.
