Hi all,
My name is Bob Boyd. I was born and raised in the Boston area (North Shore) and now live in southern NH. I've been married for 10+ years and have 3 kids (8,6,2). I'm 40 but don't act, look or feel like it.
I was heavily into fishing as a kid and teenager. Mostly freshwater with spin and fly. As I got into my twenties, I developed other interests and became just as obsessive about those. I ended up living in Tahoe/San Francisco for about 10 years. Fishing took a back seat to skiing, biking, surfing and work.
Moved back east to spawn.
About 5 years ago, I picked up a piece of sh_t shakespeare combo from MVP and took it to the Cape on vacation. Caught a couple blues and schoolies but really caught myself. Went a little more each year as time permitted.
Last season I started to get serious. I got some decent equipment and tried to soak up all I could and apply what I learned. I averaged about one trip a week and although I had my best year ever, I discovered that I've got a lot more to learn.
I really enjoy this site. I read way more than I write. The expertise and insight that most of you freely share has helped me considerably in the short time I've been doing this. I can't wait to get back out there.
