Yup - it's in Uncle Crafty's library in the 'Classic Titles' section

When you read that stuff it's both amazing and saddening - amazing to try and grasp the abundance, saddening to realize how little we have left.

It's also cool to realize who fished the same spots you do today - and what they were able to do with equipment that we now consider primitive - which was then state of the art.

"There is no royal road to this heavy surf-fishing. With all the appliances for comfort experience can suggest, there is a certain amount of hard work to be done and exposure to be bourne as a part of the price of success." From "Striped Bass," Scribner's Magazine, 1881.
