People do understand the difference between Liberal, Conservative, Democrat and Republican...right?

Fundamental differences?

Republicans = Strength comes from the individual
Democrats = Strength comes from the village
Liberals = More likely to embrace new ideas for solutions
Conservatives = More likely to look to the past for solutions

The big bull%$%$%$%$? Any rational person is a combination of all of the above.

George W Bush is one of the most radically Liberal US Presidents in history.

There are over 40 Blue Dog Democrats in the US House who believe strongly in fiscal conservatism.

Etc...

It must be the end of the world! Nebe and RIJimmy are agreeing and I have to give credit to Spence for posting one of the most accurate thoughts I've read in a long time.

Spence, you got it right about the Republican/Conservative vs. the Democrat/Liberal thing. Too many people label all R's as Conservative and all D's as Liberal.

Not all Republicans are bible thumping rednecks and not all Democrats are Che Guevara t-shirt wearing Marxists.

Conservatism is not about leaving people behind. Conservatism is about empowering people to catch up, to give them tools at their disposal that make it possible for them to access all the hope, all the promise, all the opportunity that America offers. - Marco Rubio
