Now comes the part where how to make a strong quick disconnect. Taking the word in context "Quick" and think of a Breakaway/Fast clip to attach the 2 parts. I figure I've caught some nice fish w/o a hitch. Heck if they hold up to the pressure of a fish pulling I don't see any difference. It probably require resessing the wire loops to keep the joint too far apart. I haven't tried this yet but I will make up a mock up using the 50 + 80 lb. clips. I also see the new fast clips have a section that protrudes away from the wire. This might also facilitate even an easier assembly. I may be in another world with this thread but it's winter and I love being in the dungeon finding my sanity during this dismal winter season.
Neat idea, I'd be interested to know how this works. I'm planning to build and fish some of these plugs for next year, but as you point out I've not figured out how to carry them.
