Well alright! So far we have 27 builders ready to participate in this somewhat unique "Challenge/Swap"! Basically what we are going to do is take all of the names and match them with another builder...everyone will get another builders name. The premise of this challenge is that the name of the person you receive gets to make a request of you....to build a plug! Now......the idea was that you would have to accept that persons challenge and complete that plug to the best of your ability! However some folks are concerned about making certain plugs which may be out of their expertise (I would not want to make a darter either
) so here is how we will do it. The person can make a request and if you accept it then so be it.....however if the request is a bit much the builder can make an offer to make something which may be a bit more to their ability. EXAMPLE: Slipknot gets my name and he will request a plug of me....his request will either be agreed upon or the 2 parties can come to a mutual agreement such as I can't make the darter Slipknot wanted but we agree I will make him a jointed "Prey" swimmer?? What we are looking for here is to build a plug which may be unique and different from what you may ordinarily make....to test your skill a little. In the end.....after all is said and done each builder will receive a plug and hopefully all will enjoy a good time! When finished we can post pics of the bounty and maybe display many of them at PlugFest in February! It sounds complicated but its pretty basic and intended for a goodtime!
Below is a list of names of all who are "IN". Anyone interested in getting in has until noon Monday the 5th to enter at which time it will close to all. That evening I will announce the pairings and you can all get in touch via pm's and get to work! The deadline for completion is February 14th which is a week before "PlugFest"! That gives us almost 6 weeks to get 1 plug finished!! Can you do it??
