Rocco, it's a great place to fish and any striped bass surf fisherman should experience it before they hang'em up. As some folks have indicated it can be like the "girl with the curl" ie, either very, very good or very, very bad! And , if it is the later, your trip will be less than memorable. That's why it's a good idea to go with a group. I've had some super trips over there. Some of the best fishing I've ever had, but I've also had a couple of stinkers. My companions made said trips bearable, even fun. But , when you go out there you WANT to catch bass. So be prepared, do your home work. Yes, to do it right, you have to do ALOT of walking. A wetsuit is the best thing to fish out of. I will NEVER do Cutty again in waders.Time of year is also important but even prime times can be disappointing. Fishing anywhere is a crap shoot but you have to go out there at least once. . If you would like some specifics, give me a pm. Good Luck!
