The problem is that the government has made it too difficult for American companies to produce their products here. The taxes on businesses are prohibitive to running a profitable operation. Add to that a high minimum wage and unemployment taxes, and businesses are forced to move production out of the US. Places like RI are even more ridiculous with businesses having to pay for short term disability insurance.
