yes, mix clear poly right into your paint in the paint cup, how much depends on how much you'd like to disperse the pigments(if it's too thick you can thin with a little water), these pigments are already suspended in a medium, you are just adjusting the medium amount varying the tint...if you are using Createx/ Badger airbrush paints the transparents combined with poly will give you the effect of depth on the plug, the metallic colors will really shimmer....spray some details with opaques and they will appear to sit up on top of the previous coats because light can pass around them but not through, this will give you a 3D effect...you can have a lot of fun with shading and details this way and layering colors to get different effects.....the final coat of epoxy makes everything jump out...I'm in Newport but I go to Manchester BS frequently, my wife's family is there, was supposed to go this weekend but have to work so I'll be sure to try to get together w/you next time through, maybe score a squeedle
