I've tried almost every braid there is, and outside of the original Whiplash, which Berkley discontinued for reasons unknown
, I've found that Berkley Big Game Braid in 50# test gives you the best bang for the buck. It's thin, strong and very abrasion resistant as braids go. And it costs about the same as Power Pro (between $25 and $30 for a 300 yard spool depending on where you buy it).
Sufix is good but overpriced IMO.
