If bolt action, IMO the Remmington 700 is hard to beat and the SPS had great bang for the buck. I have a SPS tactical in .308, it was a compromise as it was heavy with the bull barrel, but I'll spend much more time at the range than in the woods. Came in under $600 new and shoots sub MOA with quality factory ammo.
