FWIW,

Amps is a current rating. Power is a measured in watts or Hp.

Amps X Volts = Watts

(this shows why a 220 volt line (vs 110) with the same amp motor produces twice the power)

746 watts = 1 Hp

So,

15 amps X 110 = 1650 watts / 746 = 2.21 Hp

4 amps X 110 = 440 /746 = .59 Hp

I bet there is a typo someplace. Are each 110 or is one 220 volt?
However, a lot of time you see "peak Hp"...which inflates the value and makes a better sales pitch.
