Now I had the opposite experience. i bought a sears riding mower for anbbout $1000 and kept it for almost 20 years. At about year 14 I put a new engine on it. It worked fine until the mag clutch started crapping out when it got warm. Anyway , I put a sign on it , for sale as is where is and a guy bought it for $250 , fixed the clutch and sold it for $400. I bet its still going today. I know that is unusual but I've alwats made out good at sears.
I almost never buy the extended warrantee. I did buy it on my LCD TV but that is the only thing i can ever remember buying it on. Extended warrantees are one of the few things you ever buy and hope you never get your moneys worth from. Life insurance is another!
