1 week of good warm days and it could happen early. My guess is it will be late this year but You never know!
I've sen bright fish there in march so its not always just holdovers.
Don't count out newoprt area for the first RI fish either. Sachuest sticks way out there like the wall and results in some early action along its west side as well as second beach also.
