i ran out of line last year on a really big fish that forced me to horse her in when she began to rubb after hunkering down~~~because i had no more MONO left to give. it only took about four cranks and she was GONZO. a most valuable lesson that i hope will be rectified with the added yardage and stopping ability of braid.

as far as casting distance goes,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,use eeeeels or chunks.

sooooo, why not buy the big spool in 50# braid,
and fill the VS300 with 65# braid for CowTown tusslin'?
I hate to be the one to burst your bubble, but if you really think that you're going to get more 65# braid on your 704 than 20# mono, you're in for a rude awakening
