I think the standard liability coverage is $300k or $500k... without question pay the extra money to go $500k as I don't remember a big difference.
My policy with Travelers is $345/year and I went for the lowest deductible, $500k liability. BoatUS was a little cheaper, but I went thru my agent that insures the house and cars. I like to build solid customer relations.
