I clearly stated I thought he would be held accountable and that I agreed that he should. That isn't excuse making.
Pointing out that Somalia is a %$%$%$%$hole, and that he's a product of perhaps the most broken country on the planet isn't making excuses, it's reality.
It seems as though many people simply can't comprehend an alternate point of view. For instance, to try to understand the rage that drives a Palestinian teenager to strap a bomb to themselves.
To do so doesn't mean you're attempting to justify or legitimize their actions, and perhaps more importantly, with a broader understanding one can prescribe better solutions.
