I usually go with "Morning" or "Evening". I usually do not try to engage someone who's actively fishing. I'll wait until he's done or relocating to another spot. I don't like to be disturbed when I'm fishing, and I figure it's the same with others. Once I'm out of the water, I'll BS with anyone
