Went out tonight in SoCo. Planned to catch the 2 hours before low and 2 hours after. Got to my spot, and on the second cast a feisty 23 inch striper inhaled my rubber shad. Made a few more casts and decided to try something different. Clicked my headlamp and nothing (forgot to check batteries
) So my 4 hour trip took about 45 minutes, but started out the season without el skunk-o so however brief it was, it was worth it.
