Can I Get An Amen For The Rev. Green?

Al Green came out with a bunch of great tunes that have always been high on my list -

Like Take Me To The River, great Soul Train performance '70's vintage, pre-Talking Heads:

Let's Stay Together, with Joss Stone, Macy Gray, Mary J. Blidge, Bonnie Raitt, Ziggy Marley and a lot of other guests - Can't listen to this tune with out the old Combat Zone popping into my head - every exotic dancer had this one in their repertoire...

And one of my favorites by Al, later covered by Toots and the Maytals, Bobby Caldwell and a lot of others:

"There is no royal road to this heavy surf-fishing. With all the appliances for comfort experience can suggest, there is a certain amount of hard work to be done and exposure to be bourne as a part of the price of success." From "Striped Bass," Scribner's Magazine, 1881.
