It's offensive so let's regulate it

"Erectile dysfunction ads too hot for TV?"
http://amfix.blogs.cnn.com/2009/05/0...oo-hot-for-tv/

Seriously now? Jim Moran (D-VA) thinks ED commercials are offensive. So he has proposed legislation specifically targeting ED and limiting commercials to after 10pm and before 6am. All of this because he, and some people that have approached him, find the ads offensive?

For starters, isn't that what the FCC is for? I feel the same way about soap operas as the above people feel about ED ads. I'm offended by the horrible acting. Many of the people complaining are women - ED ads are offensive but the numerous sexual connotations and situations that appear on soaps in the middle of the day aren't?

This has been one of my biggest fears of the Dems holding such an immense control. Rampant, needless legislation that has very little thought with it. In a perfect world, we would have 50 dems and 50 repubs in congress.

In one day, kids are exposed to sex 100 times more inappropriately through the media, magazines and MTV than a Viagra ad with a catchy song and guy with a Sh&t-eatting grin on his face.

Moran states "...it is an intrusion into the quality of life that we like to experience.” Great! So let's prevent ED ads from intruding into my life, by allowing to government to intrude into my life.
