The father is going to carry this "guilt" around like a ox yoke, unless he eventually realizes that his son had underlying issues that the father may not have any knowledge of, or could do nothing about.
The argument just happened to be the final straw. It could have easily been anyone or anything else that may have triggered his demise.
If arguing with parents were to cause that much grief, we'd all have been basket cases in our own times.
I feel bad for the father, because no parent should outlive their children. It's just not right.
Unfortunately, there are some people that either can't be saved, or can't be reached in time to avoid these tragedies.
My prayers go out to the family.
