I heard about them a couple weeks ago and saw a brochure...IMO its about friggin time but it may be too late. There are a lot of competitors in the high end reel market place. And given the economy I have my doubts if the traditional penn-reel user is going to run to the shop and drop $700 on a penn reel just because it is made in the USA. But I am glad to see them get a high end product in the spinning department.
I wonder what the service will cost? I noticed several shops refuse to even service Penn reels anymore because the service costs more then a new reel.
That said, I think they needed a line like this...7 years ago.
