Nice pics. Nice specs. Flashy marketing. But, for the price tag, I would not buy this reel without being tested by real anglers under non-ideal conditions. Laboratory tests, like recreational boat fishing tests, are limited! I want to see this thing hold up to a COW stripping line at whiplass speeds after being dunked and having sand blow on it.
No manual pickup option? Penns have a tendency to have unexpected bail closures (even if the bail is positioned just right prior to casting!). Inertia is generally a good thing, expect for Penn bails. :-(.
Not mentioned on Penn's website. Interesting.
Do not get me wrong, I just have high expectations for a reel costing $700+ green bills. Nonetheless, I am happy to see a new competitor enter the "bullet proof spinning reel" market.
