I went out locally last night and the tide was already up to the high tide mark almost 3 hours before high - big tide swell on the incoming, bigger than I expected - I'm glad I didn't opt for the Pt Jude Joe Slip 'n' Slide out at the Point...
Even at my Grandma spot I had to stand 20 feet back and 5 feet up on the rocks - for a slow pick of smaller fish and shanking the hookset on a nicer one with it swimming right at me...
At least I have the day off today - since getting into bed at 2:30 AM and up at 7 has rendered me unfit for work of any kind.
Beautiful night, nice whitewater, dark as pitch - perfect except for the lack of fish of any real size...
