in general, smallish plugs aroung the outflows or bait on the bottom usually produce pretty well. the best bait is also the biggest PIA to get, sand worms. Dig them with a pitch fork at low tide near the waterline. Fish them on a fish finder or high low rig around high tide near some structure. Some places fish better at other stages, but high is usually good on the open beach up there. Fresh clams or fresh mackeral also work well, but can be hard to find. The frozen crap at the bait shops will work, but not nearly as well.
